The EMB 110, a twin-engine plane of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, EMB 110, was involved in the accident. The Brazilian Air Force and the police will investigate the accident.
Amazonas State Security Secretary Vinicius Almeida said in a press conference that the small plane was due to low visibility and carelessly trying to land halfway down the runway as it approached the city in heavy rain.
