The G20 virtual summit will be held in November
New Delhi: The G20 summit in Delhi has concluded. India handed over the chairmanship to Brazil. Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the post of President to Brazilian President Lula da Silva. Although the chairmanship will be handed over symbolically, India will continue to hold the chairmanship till November 30. The G20 working session will be held in November. The virtual summit is held to review the implementation of the G20 decisions.
The President of Brazil said that he thanked India for its brilliant leadership at the G20. Modi said that decisions were taken at the Delhi Summit to proceed with humane attitudes rather than economic perspectives. Yun must reform the Security Council. He also opined that the inclusion of the African Union would pave the way for a broader global debate.
On the last day, the discussion was held on the topic of “One Future”. Important decisions were taken at the summit, including women empowerment and promotion of digital technology. Artificial intelligence should be used with great care while leading the world to a better future. Modi said there should be a concerted effort to curb the use of cryptocurrencies for cyber terrorism and terrorist financing.
