In less than five minutes, five robbers stole Rs 14 lakh from a bank in Surat. The incident was recorded on CCTV and Surat Police initiated a citywide manhunt for the robbers.
The big breaking crime news that happened in Surat of Gujarat had shocked the nation. A bank was robbed in broad daylight. The heist occurred at the Bank of Maharashtra’s Surat branch. A five-man gang burst into the bank and looted Rs 14 lakh in five minutes by frightening the employees with a rifle. Following the event, authorities launched a large hunt for the suspects, who fled on motorcycles.
A gang of five people on two bikes entered the bank wearing helmets and masks and the crime happened in a cinema style around 11:00 AM. The gang came in two different bikes and their faces were covered. The robbers entered the bank and started to point guns at the bank employees and customers. After getting into the bank the robbers threatened the bank employees and cash was there in the counter so the robbers forced them to put the money into their bag. Later, everyone was moved to a different room and soon one of the thieves moved the money from the counter to their bag.
Before the bank staff could call the cops, the gang had fled the scene with the money from the counters. CCTV captured footage of the robbers arriving and leaving after completing the assignment. The police stated that the search for the robbery gang has been expanded and that the investigation is ongoing.
