Earthquake in Afghanistan. The magnitude was 4.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was 149 km northeast of the country’s capital, Kabul.
The earthquake was felt in the evening Indian time. The National Center for Seismology said that the earthquake was felt at a distance of 10 km.
An earthquake is felt in Afghanistan every two to three weeks. On May 11, there was a 4.5 magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan. A 4.3 magnitude earthquake was also reported on May 9. Both of these were experienced in Faizabad.
Last year alone, more than 1000 people died and around 2000 people were injured in natural disasters in the country.
