Thiruvananthapuram: E-POS machines in ration shops will be switched to the latest version of AEPDS software from April 1. Food Minister GR Anil stated that the Hyderabad NIC, which is preparing technical facilities, has been instructed in this regard.
The Minister stated this in a press conference held after the meeting held as part of finding a solution to the malfunction of the e-POS machine. The meeting was held in the context of malfunctions in e-POS machines which had significantly affected the distribution of rations. Internet service provider BSNL will increase the current speed of 20 Mbps from 20 to 100 Mbps this month. Find out the mobile network operating in the location and use the SIM card of such companies in the e-POS machine.
It was decided in the meeting to organize a service camp for e-POS machines from 1st to 30th April and to streamline the help desk for reporting the malfunctions of e-POS machines. Officials of NIC Hyderabad, IT Mission, Keltron, C DAC, and BSNL participated in the meeting chaired by the Minister.
