New Delhi: In the context of the possibility of border conflict between India and China, the military intelligence department has warned the soldiers against using eleven Chinese-brand phones. Soldiers are advised to switch to phones from other companies as soon as possible if they are using Chinese phones.
The intelligence agency’s instructions also say that family members should also be discouraged from using phones made in countries that act against the national interest. The warning refers to 11 Chinese mobile brands known in the Indian market including OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme.
The new directive also points out that even though such a directive was given earlier, it has not been fully followed. A senior military official responded to the national media that China’s intentions and the risk of using the mobile phones it manufactures are well known.
