New Delhi: Manish Sisodia filed a bail application in the trial court in the context of the expiry of the custodial period. In the bail application, Sisodia says that he fully cooperated with the investigation and appeared when called by the CBI. It has also been requested in the petition that he should not be released into CBI custody.
However, it is reported that Sisodia did not cooperate with the investigation and Sisodia could not explain six clauses included in the liquor policy which were not in the first draft.
After his arrest, Sisodia approached the Supreme Court against the CBI. However, the Supreme Court was of the view that the case could not be considered and the High Court should be approached. Following this, Sisodia’s lawyer withdrew the plea. After this, Sisodia also resigned from the ministry.
Sisodia will be produced in the Rose Avenue court today where the custody period ends. The court will also consider Sisodia’s bail plea.
