New Delhi: Ashish Mishra granted bail in Lakhimpur Kheri case. Bail was granted by the Supreme Court. He has been granted interim bail for eight weeks. Very strict conditions are included as part of the bail. Ashish Mishra has mainly put forward the allegation that he was denied natural human justice.
Earlier, the Allahabad High Court had rejected Ashish Mishra’s bail plea. Then approached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court heard the matter and the bench headed by Justices Suryakant Mishra and JK Maheshwari sought the views of the government at various stages. But the UP government opposed this bail at every stage. In this situation, Ashish Mishra told the court that he has health problems and it is necessary for him to come out to prove his innocence. Based on this, Ashish Mishra has now been granted bail.
The instruction is to leave UP within a week of coming out of jail. The court has also directed that he should not stay in UP or Delhi.
A complaint was raised that one of Ashish Mishra’s aides assaulted Sakshi. The incident happened last December. The main witness in the case, Prabjot Singh, and his younger brother Sarvajeet Singh were attacked with a sword. Sarvajeet Singh was injured in the attack. However, Prabjot Singh escaped unhurt.
Prabjot Singh alleged that accused Ashish Mishra was behind the attack. He pointed this out and filed a complaint. However, the police say that Ashish Mishra is not behind the attack. The police also claim that this was a clash between two groups.
Dilbagh Singh is one of the eyewitnesses of the attack on October 3, 2021, in Lakhimpur Kheri. Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra rammed his vehicle into the protest against the Agriculture Bill. Four farmers and a journalist were killed in the incident.
