Pathanamthitta: Tourism to Gavi, which was suspended due to heavy rains, has resumed. Tourists were banned due to continuous landslides in Arana Mudi. The vehicles are allowed to pass after the construction of a temporary fence in Aranamudi, which was hit by a landslide.

The government had banned tourism to Gavi following the heavy landslide in Arana Mudi. After constructing a temporary fence at the landslide site in Arana Mudi, permission has been given for tourism.

Only people who have booked online in advance will be allowed to go to Gavi. The forest officials have also informed that only a limited number of people will be allowed into the Gavi. Currently a new KSRTC service has been started from Pathanamthitta for people to travel through Gavi.
