Saudi authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs in watermelons. The Saudi police arrested five people including two natives and three Syrian foreigners.
Under the guise of exporting watermelons, 7,65,000 amphetamine tablets were tried to be smuggled. Authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle drug pills inside watermelons. The accused were arrested and handed over to the public prosecution.
Saudi authorities recently seized Captagon and amphetamine pills illegally exported from Syria and Lebanon. The General Directorate of Narcotics Control said that the Saudi Arabia security forces seized 7,00,000 amphetamine tablets in the capital Riyadh.
